“Jami was one of the first bloggers that we had chosen to partner with for our “Coastal Christmas” festivities – she set the bar so high for everyone who came after her! Her email communication leading up to the visit was thorough, and we easily agreed on the details of what was expected after she and the family spent the weekend with us. Jami was prompt on the delivery of the posts, and did a great job at documenting the experience in real-time on her social media accounts. She has continued to be an essential ambassador for our destination and we are thrilled with the work she has done.”

Amanda Hubik, Marketing & Promotions Director, Anacortes Chamber of Commerce

  • Are you showing who you really are?
___
20 years ago I found this quote. Since then it's always been in my office, or hidden in my desk, leaving me to stumble on it every couple years, often when I need it the most.
___
"Passion is "The energy that comes from bringing more of YOU into what you do. "It's being who you are, and doing what comes naturally. In a way, your Passion Core is the answer to the question, "Who am I?" When you understand that, you can make decisions and look for opportunities that bring you into alignment with that.
___
In other words, passion comes from the fact that you are aligned with what really makes you tick. And if you're living your life according to who you really are, people would look at your Passion Core and say, "yeah, that sounds like you". It's not hidden and personal, it's a no-brainer look at who you are, which is already obvious because you're living it."
___
I wanted to share this during these challenging times as I think many of us will be in a time of reflection and transition. Times where, if you are willing you can ask yourself the hard questions, you can lean in hard to who you are, and what makes you tick. To those experiences that give you butterflies, and to being with people who make you feel like you can soar. Don't rush the process, be patient and delicate with yourself. You deserve nothing but the best. Your best.

___
How about tackle those photo projects that have been sitting on the back burning waiting for a day when you had the time?
___
One of the questions I get asked a lot is, "What do you DO with all your photos?" And the honest answer is LOTS! From updating photos to Instagram wall collages, to family albums, I love photography and showcasing my photos in a variety of ways.

"As children are out of schools and adults are inundated with scary news, we could all use a little break for creativity and fun. That’s why we’ve created Crafting the Curve, an activity series for kids and kids at heart. Crafting the Curve activities are printable downloads designed to use supplies that you may already have at home." 1. To get your free downloadable crafts click the link in my bio @FamTravelWriter

  • I can’t tell you where we were exploring!
___
With social distancing being the utmost priority we need to find quiet outdoor places that we can explore with limited interaction. The big parks and hikes are overwhelmed with people (and honestly I’m feeling partly to blame for promoting them)
___
So here’s how to find a safe and fun place to explore with your family:
___
1. Look at your local city map of parks and find one you’ve never heard of.
2. Look for parks that are remote or in rural areas. The further out they are the less populated they will be.
3. Look for parks with multiple entrances and choose the entrance with the fewest cars.
4. Maintain a safe 2 meters distance from anyone you greet on the path.
5. When you’re not out in the woods in the middle of no where... stay home! I think we’re on day 9 of isolation (I’ve lost count)!
___
Getting out side and getting physical exercise is important to our mental and physical health, especially during these challenging times.
___
From our family to yours, be safe, be healthy. We are all in this together #CovidKindness.
