Washington, located in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States, is full of majestic mountains, pristine lakes, and lush forests. The state has a diverse climate, with rain forests in the west and semi-arid deserts in the east. The Cascade Mountains run through the middle of the state, and Mount Rainier, an active volcano, is its highest point. Washington is known for its evergreen trees, including Douglas firs, Western hemlocks, and Western red cedars.
There are plenty of activities to keep you busy while travelling to Washington. Washington is home to some of the best hiking trails in the country, and there are also plenty of opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and camping. However, if you prefer a more relaxed pace, you can visit one of the many world-class museums or art galleries in the city and learn about its rich history. And, of course, no trip to Washington would be complete without a visit to the iconic Space Needle.
